The Chicago Style Botdogs
FRC Team 4645: Student-founded, Student-driven, Student-led.

Our Team at a Glance
The Chicago Style Botdogs, officially FRC Team 4645, is a robotics team with a diverse and talented background of 100+ students. From encouraging opportunities in STEM to helping other FRC teams, our team aims to benefit the surrounding communities near Lane Tech and Chicago through mentoring students and promoting FIRST robotics. Our team is almost entirely student-led: the core components of leadership, design, and execution are decisions made at the student's discretion.

Since our rookie year, we have:
-
Two times qualified for the FIRST World Championship.
-
Six separate Spirit Awards at the FIRST Central Illinois Regional.
-
Taught essential engineering and technology skills to all team members.
-
Supported other FRC and FLL teams in their team design plan and structure.
-
Proud contributor and promoter of CSEdWeek at Lane Tech.

Central Illinois Regional
Last week, the Chicago Style Botdogs competed in the Central Illinois Regional. Our team members navigated through the treacherous straits of REEFSCAPE in an attempt to secure a position in the playoffs. While they were almost successful, largely due to an unexpected failure midway through the competition, our team members endured and learned a significant amount in improving our robot, and they hope to secure a position in the playoffs at our next competition, Midwest Regional.

This week, the Chicago Style Botdogs are set to compete in the Midwest Regional, located close to our home city of Chicago. With a repaired and optimized robot, our team is aiming for a spot in the playoffs, with it a potential chance to advance to the FRC Championship. Best of luck to our team! Go Botdogs!
